DJ STEVE: I've entertained 2,332 weddings over the course of 26 years. (Lotion. The answer to why I don't look 90 is lotion. And starting to DJ in junior high.) You've seen the standard DJ spiel by now -- lots of talk about gear and lighting, microphones and timelines. I'm happy to talk about all those things, but I'm more interested in the two of you.
What will make both of you tear up as you dance? What will bring the house down when it's time to party? What will make mom happy without evacuating the dance floor? How do we avoid making cocktail hour a snooze-fest, or dinner hour with one more jazz or instrumental tune?
We'll figure it out together.
Okay, but who are you, Steve? Fair enough. First and most importantly! I will never shame you for your musical choices. I'm happy that you listen to music at all. Truly. For me, being a DJ is about using all the energy generated by the love and devotion in the room to make an unforgettable party for everyone involved. The mic and tux and gear required to make that happen are secondary to the energy a group of humans dancing their hearts out can generate. (If you want a low-key, super-chill, no-dancing wedding, I'm probably not your best choice!)
Beyond playing music, my primary focus is offering each couple I meet attentive hospitality and detailed event direction -- meaning I personally take care of you while helping your event to run as smoothly as possible. I'm committed to delivering the exact style of entertainment your event deserves, presented in a polished and refined fashion. You'll also receive meticulous attention to detail and an approach that won't steal your spotlight.
I take it as a personal challenge to make your guests feel involved in your special day, causing them to stay longer, have more fun, and create unforgettable memories with the both of you. I'm not flustered by timelines, weather, family fighting, power outages, or most anything you can imagine going wrong on your wedding day. I've seen it all go wrong, and I've helped to make it right many, many times.
All of that amounts to 'blah blah blah' without hearing from past clients, though, so I'll let them tell you about our time together. See my reviews below.
